1- Operation and use of forklifts are only permitted by trained personnel who are certified by the responsible manager.
2- Before operating and driving forklifts, the following checks must be performed:
Check the coolant level in the equipment.
Check the engine oil level.
Inspect the equipment gauges and operating switches.
Check the warning devices on the equipment to ensure they are functional.
Inspect the equipment wheels to ensure they are in good condition.
Check the brakes to ensure they are functional (foot brake and hand brake).
Raise and lower the forks to ensure they are operating properly (to the full extent).
Ensure the rearview mirror is functional.
Verify the fire extinguisher is in working order.
Ensure the seatbelt is present and in good condition.
